Book BUZZ: A Reading List For You (Books I Love)

Murder On The Orient Express by Agatha Christie

Murder On The Orient Express is one of my all-time favorites. This book features the little Belgian detective, Poirot. He unravels mysterious deaths using his “little grey cells”. The way Christie keeps us guessing till the last page is simply fantastic. It starts off and ends fantastic too. With the movie coming out later this year I think now is the perfect time to read it.

The Curious Charms Of Arthur Pepper by Phaedra Patrick

This book tells us the story of Arthur Pepper a widower, who goes on a quest to find his deceased wife’s past of which he knows nothing about. This was my favorite read of last year. I fell in love with Arthur and his quirkiness. The writing was simple yet beautiful.

What Comes Of Eating Doughnuts With A Boy Who Plays Guitar by Nicole Campbell

This series is my favorite contemporary series. Each book of this series tells us the story of each of the main characters and all the books converge to one ending in the last book. One of my favorite fictional boyfriends, Luke features in this series. All the boys in the series are swoon worthy if I am being honest. The characters are relatable and each charming in their own way. This series is a must read for all the YA Contemporary fans out there.

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

The Lunar Chronicles is a Sci Fi retelling series and it is my top favorite series and why, because it has all the elements one wants, kick ass heroines, action, romance, sarcasm and everything in between. Each book of the series follows a different fairy tale retelling. The boys of this series deserve a special mention as well. So if you haven’t picked up this series yet then please do, you won’t regret it.

One Plus One by Jojo Moyes

This was my first read by Moyes and as soon as I finished the book I knew it wouldn’t be my last. This book tells us the story of how one family becomes a whole once again. You will fall in love with the characters and their relationship with each other. You’ll feel with them and for them. Do pick it up if you’re looking for a good contemporary.
